The Victorian arm of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) has joined the CFCV as it’s sixth member at this week’s AGM. This adds an important new seat at the table in the lead up to next year’s federal election and the next Victorian state election in 2018.
It gives your voice as a shooter, an even strong political voice than before.
IPSC worked closely with the other shooting organisations in the wake of the handgun buyback (and other restrictions) following the 2002 Monash Uni shooting and was instrumental in the movement that became the CFCV.
IPSC is an interesting mix of shooting disciplines. It mixes the need to blend accuracy, power, and speed into a winning combination.
Multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets, obstacles, movement, competitive strategies, and other techniques are all a part of IPSC to keep shooters challenged and spectators engaged.

Please check out my latest blog on your good work that is on the Sporting Shooter website under gun law.
