Why your shooting club should be at the forum!

If you’re a member of a shooting club, then we know the feeling: you can feel isolated from what’s happening across the rest of the Victorian shooting industry.

That’s why its important your club sends someone to the Victorian Shooting Industry Forum being held in a few weeks time.

The forum is a prime opportunity for your club to find out what’s happening across the rest of the shooting industry, directly from the leaders of Victoria’s major shooting organisations.

What to do

We all know the challenges of being a club member.

You love to shoot, but aren’t quite sure what’s happening outside “your four walls”.   You’d love to hear more about how to get the most out of shooting, but don’t know how.

The first thing to do is to enjoy it.  Go to a prize meeting with one of your more experienced club members.  Find out which comps to go to and whose who around your association.

Just get out there and shoot!

The second thing to do is find out what’s happening across the broader shooting industry.  Ask your club to send someone to the forum and we’ll give them a really good overview of the issues affecting your sport and what they – and you – can do about it.

What will your club learn?

At last year’s forum, we helped clubs gain a detailed understanding of what really happened with the NFA & Martin Place Siege reviews, the realities of our political environment in Victoria and the opportunities coming up with state and federal elections.

Some clubs were so interested in this they invited us to give presentations to their members, to give them a more tailored look at the issues affecting their sport and what they can do to help.

This helped many shooters who didn’t realise what has happening “in the background” to understanding of what their organisations – with the CFCV – are doing to protect their sport.

That’s why we’re doing it again this year.

What if my association isn’t a member of the CFCV?

No problem.

Invitations are open to every shooter, no matter who or where they are.  Clubs and individuals included.

I’m interested.  How do I get my ticket?

Easy!  Click here to get your ticket now.  Earlybird discounts are still available.

The forum will be held at 10am on Saturday 8 April in Ringwood – with lunch included!

Can’t make it?

No problem.

If you’d like us to address your club members, drop us a line at admin@firearmscouncil.org.au and we’ll get there!
