First it was semi-autos, then it was our handguns, now they’re after our lever actions.

Our recent survey of Victorian shooters revealed how angry they were at the performance of the Minister for Police over the proposed ban on lever action rifles and shotguns. In fact they are so concerned, they want the Premier to intervene.

The government is proposing to ban your access to repeating action longarms such as lever actions. Here are some simple things every shooter can do to make sure that doesn’t happen.
The Federal Government is moving to reclassify repeating action long arms to remove their access from holders of the majority of licensed gun owners. This will ban the use of lever action shotguns and rifles, and pump action rifles.

Our recent survey of Victorian shooters revealed a major dislike of Victoria’s Licensing Regulation Division – the body responsible for licensing Victorian shooters and registering the firearms we use.
We all know why shooters don’t like the policy underlying firearm regulation. However we were curious why shooters felt so strongly that the body charged with administering that policy was a poor performer.
One in two shooters said the registry should be scrapped: only one in five said it should be retained. Read more »
